What Staying Consistent Means When Your Energy Is Not | Conversation with Erika Sardinha

A conversation on life lived between worlds, true consistency and being gentle to yourself

I recorded this with Erika Sardinha (The Gentle Badass) because I needed to hear it as much as anyone else did.

We talked about consistency.

There was a version that broke me first (do everything, every day, perfectly, or none of it counts) and the version I’m still learning instead: a savings account, not a perfect streak (thanks, Tina Nayak). Whatever you can add, on the days you can add it.

Somewhere in there I asked her the question I actually wanted answered: what does living between countries do to your nervous system, and can something as small as a habit hold that. Her answer wasn’t what I expected — structure as the antidote to anxiety, “non-negotiables” as a way of building “home” inside yourself when nowhere outside agrees on what home even means.

This is the free version — the conversation as it happened, in front of everyone. In the paid room, a conversation like this becomes a working session: you bring the actual moment you’re stuck in, not the topic.

If today gave you something you wanted more of, that’s what’s waiting there. See what's inside →

If this found something in you, I hope you’ll stay. If you're tired of translating yourself, there's a paid tier for that — one live session a month, a small group between sessions, and the posts I don't write for a room this size. Read what's inside →

If paid isn’t right for you now, I’m still glad you’re here. Sharing and commenting helps this find someone who needs it.
